Just got done watching the video recording of Kir's presentation from last Saturday at FOSDEM 2012. They recorded it and I'm writing this to share it with you too. Here's a link to the video in .webm format:
http://video.fosdem.org/2012/maintracks/janson/Linux_containers_and_OpenVZ.webm
Feel free to right click on the link and "Save link as..." to download it, or stream play it in your browser if desired since Firefox 4.x and up, as well as Chrome and Opera will play .webm directly. I prefer to download and watch with gmplayer so it plays more efficiently. You do have a video player that supports webm, right?
In the first half Kir talks generally about what containers are and what features OpenVZ has. In the second half of it he talks about recent features that are available now (vswap) and a few upcoming features (ploop and criu). Then he takes a number of questions from the audience. I really enjoyed the questions and the answers Kir gave. Some nice conversation on the "OpenVZ vs. LXC" concept.
